Job Summary:
The electrician will perform service and installation work in a residential and light commercial environment.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman State license certification.
- Independence Skill: A self-starter with the ability to work efficiently on their own.
- Familiarity and experience with residential service work.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Ability to climb & work on ladders.
- Bend, stoop, climb, stand, stretch, reach, and lift arms above shoulder height repeatedly or continually over time.
- Good attendance history
Essential Functions:
- Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, and adjustments on electrical systems and components in residential and commercial applications.
- Ensure safe installation, removal, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of electrical equipment and electrical systems.

- Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
- Use hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, wire strippers, hacksaws, pipe threaders, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- For safety and job performance, one must be familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC), designed to protect people and property from hazards arising from the use of electricity.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Hard-working, self-starter who is committed to a career as an electrician
- Ability to work and complete tasks on time with little supervision
- Must be able to talk through oral and written expression to convey information effectively to customers.
- Ability to manage their own time to meet deadlines
- Ability to develop a rapport with a customer to ensure satisfaction.
Working Environment:
The Majority of work is performed on the customer site. Must have the ability and willingness to work from vehicle and travel as necessary to complete jobs as assigned.
